Oncor Capital

Who we are

Oncor is deliberately compact. Everyone here is close to the decision, which is why we can move as quickly as we do — and why we lean hard on an advisory bench that knows these sectors better than we ever will.

The office

Oncor Capital is a family office based in New Delhi. We invest our own balance sheet in companies building hard technology — semiconductors, deep tech, renewable energy and AI.

We are newer on this side of the table, and we think that is worth saying plainly rather than dressing up. What it means in practice is that we are hungry, we move quickly, and we are willing to take the kind of technology risk that a larger institution has to talk itself out of. We would rather be early and wrong occasionally than late and comfortable every time.

What we bring beyond the cheque is access. We have spent years building operating relationships inside the industries we invest in, and we are well connected across New Delhi's VC funds, family offices and institutional investors. For a founder raising a first or second round, that network is usually worth more than the money — and we open it from day one.

Advisors

The bench we call before we write a cheque.

We do not pretend to be the smartest people in a room about chip design, grid economics or model architecture. Our advisors are, and they see everything technical before we commit. For a founder, this is the part of Oncor that matters most after the money.
